Family Programs:

Prairie Trail Federation Guides and Princesses

YMCA Adventure Guides and Coed Trailblazers are programs designed to strengthen the relationship between a parent and a child. In YMCA Adventure Guides, the father is the Guide and the child is the Explorer.

 

At the Greater LaGrange YMCA we designed the Prairie Trail Federation programs to help dads bond with their children in grades kindergarten through fourth grade.  The Guides brings dads and sons together.  The Princess program is for dads and their daughters.  An adult and child must attend program activities together as a pair.

 

The Y Co-Ed Trailblazers program is for dads and their children ages 5th grade and up.  Both programs foster a healthy relationship between father and child.

 

If you think you may be interested in either of these programs come join us at one of our two

POW WOWs.  They will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, or from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, in the First United Methodist Church, 100 W. Cossitt Ave., La Grange.

The POW WOW is a social event to introduce your family to the Prairie Trail Federation.  It will include a brief presentation, snacks, registration materials and a craft.  Several tribes will be on hand to discuss Guides and Princesses with you.
